Kuching - Sarawak will be among the 14 state teams that will compete in the men's 7-man rugby competition at the 19th Malaysia Games (Sukma XIX) Games in Perak on 15 and 16 September. Sarawak will play in Group B together with Selangor, Pahang and Federal Territory.
Sarawak will be represented by Amir Izzuddin Bin Masle, Anthony Lawai Jok, Elvin Wong Khiing Jiun, Muhammad Imran Bin Idznirosdin, Muhammad Syukri Bin Borhman, Muhd Nur Haqim Bin Raden, Ruzaini Bin Mohammad, Samuel Rentap Anak Meran, Spencer Ak Tony, Yoshua Semuil and Zulfadhli Marthin Bin Suhor. They are from Kuching, Samarahan, Sibu, Mukah and Miri.
Assistant Chef-de-Mission (ACDM) for Sarawak's rugby squad is YB Gerald Rentap Jabu who is also state assembyman for Layar while the team manager is Abdul Ghafar Bin Arshad and the coaches are Nacani Seniu and Ting Tung Ngie.
