Kuching - Sarawak's 10-pin bowling squad is expected to face stiff challenge in their efforts to bring back a modest tally of gold medals in the 19th Malaysia Games (Sukma XIX) Perak Games which will take place on September 15 to 21.

The Sarawak squad will take part in all the events in the competitions which will be held at Ampang Superbowl, Ipoh Parade and the fierce rivalry among participating states is expected in view of Sarawak as the defending champion in this year's 10-pin bowling event.

In the last Sukma 2016, Sarawak squad managed to clinch a record haul of 12 gold medals in the 10-pin bowling event and state bowlers had win the overall title but presently, many of the senior players will not take part due to the age limit.

In Sukma XIX, Sarawak will be represented by Christopher Tiong, Brandon Ting, Gordon Tsen, Abner Loo, Mohd Uzair Irsyad, Abang Afiq Yazid, Dyg Yumi Azreen, Asia Dania, Nur Aina Kamalia, Gillian Lim, Nur Haziqah Ramli and Nur Hazirah Ramli.
