Kuching - Sarawak will be among the nine teams competing in the 19th Malaysia Games (Sukma XIX) Perak 7-aside rugby competiion which will take place at Perak Rugby Mini Stadium, MBI Sports Complex, Ipoh on 15 and 16 September.
Sarawak which will be represented by new faces are placed in Group C together with Terengganu and Johor.
Sarawak will be represented by Cindy John Pasan, Daphne Dayang Dennis, Edythe Jayne Donny, Elizianna Robert Goh, Erina Tasha Rajis, Jessira Priesca Ngumbang, Josie Mavcellina Gone, Khairunnisa Abdullah, Lau Geok Moi, Nicole David, Rachel Ashley Jukie and Rosani Erline Lasa . They are from Kuching, Samarahan, Sibu, Mukah and Miri.
Assistant Chef-de-Mission (ACDM) for rugby is YB Encik Gerald Rentap Jabu who is also state assemblyman of Layar and the team manager Faqrul Hafiz Bin Abu Bakar while the coaches are Sylvia Alexander Lian and Muhammad Fahmi Ibrahim.
