KUCHING - The Sukan Sarawak (SukSar) 2017 Para athletics had come to an end and many had voiced their satisfaction with the encouraging achievements of the athletes including Minister of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood DevelopmentYB Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah,
YB Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah who recently visited the Para athletes who took part in SukSar 2017 was also delighted with the organizaing of SukSar 2017 which had also involved 100 Para athletes competing in the athletics, swimming, archery and Powerlifting.
She also expressed hope for more sporting events will be held for Para athletes in the future SukSar in order to give the opportunity to for young talents to gain exposure and to experience higher level competitions.
During her visit to the Sarawak Stadium, YB Dato Sri Fatimah also presented medals to winners including Para athletes and she was accompanied by Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ong Kong Swee and SukSar 2017 secretariat chief, Daud Aba.
